It has been reported that the Mozambican ship "Orbit" was in Maputo to pick up a load of Zimbabwean asbestos. It was rumored that this load was ultimately destined for Iran.

Not surprisingly, environmentalists are up in arms amid concerns that the exact ship appeared only a few weeks later carrying rice from Pakistan.

However, upon conducting tests on the rice, the Health Ministry has determined that the rice in question is indeed safe for human consumption. Even with assurances from the Ministry, port workers refused to unload the rice until they were provided protective gear. Health experts have reported that exposure to said asbestos can cause serious consequences such as asbestos related conditions, including asbestosis, lung cancer and mesothelioma.

Asbestos was widely used in building construction for many years and have negatively affected both americans citizens and in fact citizens of countries around the world.
